Savings and Loan accounts
Before you can benefit from our services, you must become a member. Here is
the application form. Adult

Once completed, and your ‘identity’ verified as required by law,
send it to us at: 981a Tyburn Road, Erdington, Birmingham, B24 0TJ
Your membership starts as soon as the application is accepted and a £2 joining fee plus at least £1 savings are received. Please note, by law we can only offer membership to people who are associated with a Christian church in the Birmingham area. If you do not meet this requirement, the ABCU web site lists other credit unions you can apply to join.
Alternatively, if you aren't eligible to join this credit union, try out the
ABCUL web site where hopefully you will be able to find a credit union that
you can
join.
Benefits and prospects
Our credit union offers a way of helping yourself and other members ‘all at once’. When you are not yourself a borrower, your savings are available to lend to others, and the interest paid, after deducting unavoidable costs
and building reserves, is returned to members as the annual dividend. As the credit union grows, this should increase.
